WILRIJK, BELGIUM - Air compressor manufacturer Atlas Copco introduces its new monitoring service  SmartLink. An alternative to regular services that call upon a techinician to repair any breakdowns, SmartLink is meant to give customers a more in-depth system that it says can avoid breakdowns entirely.

According to Atlas Copco, SmartLink offers business owners an overview of their compressed air production and helps to predict potential problems. Also, the service shows how and where the production can be optimized and energy can be saved.

With Smartlink, data are gathered, compared, analyzed on the fly and when needed, warnings are sent out in time. This allows local service organizations to plan and prepare their interventions.
