JACKSON, TN – Armstrong World Industries, Inc. will add 95 jobs to its Jackson, TN wood flooring plant with the addition of a third production shift targeted for completion by the end of May.

“Like other businesses, we adjusted our manufacturing footprint to coincide with the downturn in the economy and significant drop in demand over the last four years,” said Armstrong Jackson plant manager Brent Hayman in a statement. “We’re seeing some demand return, and as a result, we’re adding shifts in certain facilities like Jackson to fill our customer’s needs.”

Positions open at Armstrong Industries include saw operators and lumber grading. (Applications are being taken by the Tennessee Career Center at 362 Carriage House Drive, Jackson.)
