WINCHESTER, VA -- American Woodmark Corporation rang the NASDAQ bell to open trading on May 1, in celebration of 35 years of being a big part of the American Dream by making cabinetry for every room in the home.

The cabinetry maker credits its success to a vibrant culture and the resolve to continually innovate and help create a better way of life for all Americans. More than 5,000 employees across the country drive its success. Of equal importance is the support and partnership with national home centers, residential builders and a growing network of independent dealers and designers.

American Woodmark recently posted a third quarter cabinetry sales increase of 12% to $189 million, while profits rose a whopping 250% to $7.5 million for the period ending January 31, 2015.

American Woodmark Corporation manufactures cabinets under four major brands: American Woodmark, Shenandoah Cabinetry, Timberlake Cabinetry and Waypoint Living Spaces, selling more than 600 cabinet lines in a wide variety of design materials and finishes.

American Woodmark (Nasdaq: AMWD) finished up 3% on its first day of trading to close at $52.24.
