WINCHESTER, VA - American Woodmark third quarter cabinetry sales increased 12% to $189 million, while profits rose exponentially, up 250 percent to $7.5 million for the period ended January 31, 2015.

Net sales for the first nine months of the current fiscal year increased 15% to $618.6 million in both the remodeling and new construction sales channels, with new construction growth exceeding 15%.

Gross profit for the third quarter was 18.6% of net sales was impacted by material inflation and costs associated with crewing and infrastructure to support higher levels of sales and installation activity, American Woodmark said.

 American Woodmark manufactures and distributes kitchen cabinets and vanities for the remodeling and new home construction markets. 

Its kitchen cabinets and vanities are sold on a national basis directly to home centers, major builders and through a network of independent distributors.  It operates nine cabinetry manufacturing facilities and seven service centers across the country.
