Akhurst Machinery Hosts 75th Anniversary Party at WMS 2013

TORONTO - Akhurst Machinery, one of Canada's most recognizable names for woodworking equipment, continued its year-long celebration of its 75th anniversary by throwing a grand party during the 2013 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo (WMS 2013).

Akhurst Machinery Hosts 75th Anniversary Party at WMS 2013The reception held Friday, Oct. 25 following the second and busiest day of WMS 2013 at the International Centre, brought together a strong contingent of Akhurst’s vendors, customers and other well wishers.

Akhurst Machinery was founded in 1938 by William (W.A.) Akhurst and has grown to become one of North America’s largest independent woodworking equipment distributors. Ryan Akhurst, marketing manager and a fourth generation member of the Akhurst family involved in running the business, thanked everyone in attendance for their support and said he looks forward to helping usher in the next 75 years of the company’s growth and evolution.
