84,000 directors chairs sold at Lowe’s recalled

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the voluntary recall of approximately 84,000 folding directors chairs sold exclusively at Lowe’s from June 2009 through July 2009.


The CPSC said L G Sourcing Inc., of North Wilkesboro, NC, importer of the chairs, received 10 reports of chairs breaking. No injuries were reported. L G Sourcing is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lowe's.


The chairs were manufactured in Taiwan by White Tiger Traders Co. Ltd. and sold for about $40. Consumers are urged to return the recalled chairs to any Lowe’s store for a full refund.
