7-Year-Old Plane Crash Survivor's Dad Owned Gutzler's FurnitureNASHVILLE, IL - Gutzler's Furniture owner Marty Gutzler's 7-year-old daughter Sailor was the only survivor in a plane crash Friday night that killed Gutzler, his wife Kimberly, 9-year-old daughter Piper and their 14-year-old cousin Sierra Wilder.

The cause of the Jan. 2 crash is under investigation. According to news reports, Marty Gutzler had reported engine problems and was trying to divert the plane to a nearby airstrip when it crashed in Lyons County, KY.

Although injured, Sailor Gutzler walked nearly1 mile in the dark before finding help. A fund has been set up at SailorGutzlerFund.com to assist the girl in obtaining "the emotional, physical and educational support she will need in the years to come." Marty and Kim Gutzler are also survived by children Kasie Dlubala and husband Danny, and Nicholas Brink and his wife Jentry, according to the obituary posted at the funeral home's website.

Located in Nashville, IL, the family's hometown, Gutzler's Furniture has been in business for more than 50 years. The family-owned retail store sold living room, bedroom, dining room, home office and home entertainment furniture, as well as kid's furniture and accessories.
