4,000 Finnish wood products workers go back to work
HELSINKI -- The week-long strike that halted production at 40 sawmills and wood processing factories is over.

The Finnish Forest Industries' Federation reached a settlement with the Wood and Allied Workers' Union, which represents more than 4,000 workers.

According to the Hellsingin Sanomat, the 18-month deal includes a 1.1 percent general salary increase plus a "local supplement" of 0.8 percent.
