3M launches architectural coatings unit
ST. PAUL, MN - 3M is launching an Architectural Markets unit, to promote its offerings in solid surface film finishes to architects, interior designers, and building owners. 3M says its Architectural Markets has 40-plus unique technological platforms, including surface finishes, glass finishes and lighting, including 3M DI-NOC Architectural Finishes‚ flexible films that come in more than 500 designs. 3M says new designs are being prepped for release later this year. DI-NOC architectural finishes include wood and wood grain finishes.

“It’s a perfect space for 3M because it’s enabled by technology,” said Mike Kelly, executive VP, display and graphics business. “We have the unique ability to combine the richness of our capabilities into new, inventive solutions for the design market.”
