 Ethan Allen Furniture Rolls Out Global E-commerce Platform DANBURY, CT - Furniture manufacturer Ethan-Allen will adopt Demandware, Inc. (NYSE: DWRE) software platform in 2013, as it adopts the company's software as the digital foundation of its global sales expansion strategy.

Ethan Allen recently launched its first site on the Demandware platform in Canada to coincide with the  opening of its first retail Design Center in Montreal. Ethan Allen has been rolling out Design Centers to reduce reliance on retail inventory and increase design capabilities to drive the sales process.

Ethan Allen will re-launch its U.S. e-commerce site with Demandware in 2013 witho site launches in other countries, including Europe to support its new Design Center in Brussels, which opens December 7, 2012.

“We are focused on growing our global business by generating awareness for our brand including where we do not yet have brick and mortar locations," said Farooq Kathwari, CEO of Ethan Allen.

The Demandware system enables global operations on a single platform. It will also allow each country specific site to provide local currency pricing and offer multiple language options.

Tom Ebling, CEO of Demandware, said the system gives companies capabilities needed to move into new markets quickly.
