$1.5 Million Furniture Payout with Ohio State ChampionshipDAYTON, OH - Buckeye Nation is celebrating more than a national championship. Approximately 500 Morris Home Furnishings customers also won free furniture last night following The Ohio State University's win over the Oregon Ducks in the first-ever College Football Playoff National Championship game.

A promotion by the residential furniture supplier promised free furniture to customers spending $1,999 between Dec. 17 and Jan. 1 at its 15 Ashley Furniture HomeStore and Better Sleep shops in Ohio and northern Kentucky, if OSU won the national championship by seven points or more.

Despite four turnovers, Ohio State beat the University of Oregon 42-20 in Monday night's game.

The nearly $1.5 million in refunds will be paid by a third-party company that prefers to remain anonymous, Morris' Rob Klaben, vice president of marketing and advertising, told ABC News. Redemption instructions will be sent to eligible customers by Jan. 28, and they can claim rebate forms from the company's showrooms beginning Feb. 1.

"It created some great conversation points in our store," Klaben told ABC.
