TORONTO - Toronto's Woodworking & Machinery Supply Expo got off to a strong start, as wood industry professionals flowed through the exhibits. By noon crowds were packing some aisles, and getting hands-on presentations of operating machinery and woodworking hardware and supplies in live applications.
The WMS show, Canada's largest trade show and conference for the secondary wood products manufacturing markets, is being held for the first time at the Direct Energy Center in downtown Toronto. It continues through Saturday, October 29, opening each day at 10 a.m.
The WMS show marks several industry firsts: it is the largest wood conference program ever put together for WMS since it began almost 50 years ago. Exhibitors are making the first Canadian presentations of displays of woodworking machinery and supplies that had their first world showing earier this year in Europe at Ligna and interzum wood industry expos, or at the AWFS Fair woodworking show in Las Vegas in July.
Show news, slide shows and videos of Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo show floor and conference activities are continuously updated at Woodworking Network and at the WMS show news channel.
