Wood Products Makers Reveal Their Business Strategies: WOOD 100LINCOLNSHIRE, IL - Insourcing as well as outsourcing of wood products were among the business strategies used by woodworkers in the past year to grow sales. Others business ideas named by this year's class of WOOD 100 participants included implementing additional training programs including cross-training and taking advantage of supply chain synergies.

These strategies and more were included in the 2014 WOOD 100: Strategies for Success, published in September by Woodworking Network. In addition to business strategies, the WOOD 100 also highlighted: marketing initiatives, go-to-market strategies, productivity enhancements, technology integration, product innovations, and customer service strategies.

Since 1990, the WOOD 100 has paid tribute to companies that have not only grown their business, but also to those that have survived, as well as thrived, in today's economy. Participating companies sharing their strategies for success in the WOOD 100 are from all segments of the woodworking industry including: cabinetry, residential and contract furniture, architectural woodworking, closets, wood components, millwork and panel processing.
