HACKETTSTOWN, NJ--White paint finishes still reign as the most popular kitchen cabinet finish, according to 2015 National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) Kitchen & Bath Style Report. This is the fourth year that white paint cabinet finishes have take the top spot with 79% of NKBA members surveyed saying they specified the finish in 2014.

Dark natural finishes were the second most popular kitchen cabinet finish, also for the fourth year in a row, with 69%. And painted and glazed cabinets came in a close third with nearly 63%.

The report noted that the popularity of painted colors will continue to increase, however, natural cabinets, stained and glazed cabinets and distressed-look cabinets are expected to decline in 2015.

NKBA has tracked kitchen and bath trends for approximately 52 years -- since the association has been in existence and a version of this type of study has been produced each year since the 1980s.
