BROCKTON, MA — Heavy snow collapsed the roof of a store display and wood sign firm, Jenick Manufacturing, Brockton, MA. The owner says he doesn't have insurance and was planning to fix the roof in the spring so he could qualify for a policy.

The Brockton Enterprise reported that a 50 x 50-foot section of the roof collapsed on the 15,000-sq-ft building. Owner Rick Freitas, who acquired the building in1987 when he opened his business there,'  said he was called at 10 p.m. Feb. 11.

Jenick's major client is Market Basket, a grocery chain. Freitas is waiting for the city to determine whether the building i sound to be rebuilt. "If I have to rip down the building and pay for that, I’ll be pretty well exhausted," he  told the paper. "I’ll probably go out of business."
