ELLSWORTH, ME - The Hinckley Company is currently seeking a marine carpenter to assist in restoration and repair on luxury yachts and sailboats.
Candidates must be highly skilled in troubleshooting leaks, squeaks, and warps with appropriate repair techniques. A working knowledge of marine woodworking techniques such as scarfs, sill splices, lap joints, finger joints, and dovetails, is also necessary.
In addition to at least two years of experience, in boat building and repair, candidates must have a demonstrated knowledge of woodworking machinery including table saws, planers, joiners, shapers, and inverted routers.
