Janov Millwork and Manufacturing Auction Cancelled AUSTIN, TX - Janov Millwork and Manufacturing, a premiere fabricator of custom millwork and casework, closed, and its secured creditors ordered a liquidation of its assets. But an online auction slated for Aug. 6-7, 2014 was cancelled.

The machinery and equipment at its Austin, TX shop, said to be in excellent condition by auctioneer AccuVal-LiquiTec, was being sold online through today. But a bulk purchase was made of the entire lot, suggesting another woodworking business may have taken over the operation.

Founded in 1997, Janov Millwork and Manufacturing built its reputation for combining classic, hands-on artistry with state-of-the-art automated machines.

JMM reach $4 million in sales in 2011, following a pair of down years. In 2012, Woodworking Network sponsored a tour of  Janov Millwork, which produced high-end custom millwork, case goods and furniture for office and commercial interiors, healthcare facilities and educational institutions.

At the time Janov employed 31, operating wood fabricating equipment including a Homag Ambition 2262 edgebander, a CMS CNC router, an SCM Formula sliding table saw, a Schmalz vacuum lift and a variety of classical woodworking equipment.
