MILAN, ITALY -- The 2014 Milan Furniture Fair closed Sunday, April 13 with show attendance up nearly 13% over the previous year. Approximately 357,000 visitors walked the exhibit halls viewing  interior design highlights, which included white, high gloss kitchen cabinetry mixed with contour panels, pops of bright color and natural woodgrain finishes.

Designs in the kitchen exhibit hall featured sleek, minimalist looks with push-to-open doors and drawers. Additional highlights included natural woodgrain accents, as well as bright colors that added a touch of warmth to the glossy settings. Open shelving was a popular component in several displays as was concealed shelving behind a seamless wall of cabinets.

Additional unique designs included a TV lift system enclosed in a wardrobe. Installed like a drawer, it expands out and up giving the appearance of a wall mounted system. A home office trades the ever popular modern contemporary look with more classic, traditional style. And high gloss cabinetry was also featured in a child's bedroom, providing a whimsical, playful design aesthetic.
