ATLANTA - The Cabinet Makers Association (CMA) has a fully-loaded schedule set for the 2012 International Woodworking Fair, Aug. 22-25 in Atlanta, including a starring role in the IWF conference program.
The CMA's IWF activities kick off at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21 with an exclusve members' tour of the Sub Zero/Wolf showoom, the day before the official opening of IWF. The showroom's interior millwork and casework was fabricated by CMA-member company Exclusive Woodworking of Waukegan, IL. CMA members will receive a private tour, view a slideshow depicting the transformation of the showroom and participate in a cooking demonstration and tasting by Chef George. Participation is limited to the first 25 CMA members to register.
During the first days of IWF's four-day run, the CMA, Booth #1336, will present a dozen seminars. Nine of them will offer CMA Professional Certification Program credits. CMA sessions include:
* Finance/Insurance presented by Greg Crabtree, CEO of Crabtree, Rowe & Berger;
* Commerical Insurance 101 presented by Mike Russell, national account executive: Association Risk Management Services of the CMA’s Platinum Sponsor Federated Insurance;
* Wood 101 presented by Gene Wengert, president of The Wood Doctor’s RX;
* Plus, other CMA presentations included at the IWF website.
Finally, CMA will announce the winners of its Diamond awards during IWF.
