HOLLAND, MI -- Closets giant The Stow Company is consolidating all manufacturing into its newly expanded facility in Holland, MI. The maker of EasyClosets, ORG Home and Easy Track home storage says it has room to grow further.
The Stow Company is on a path of double digit growth for all of its brands, and has grown its manufacturing operations to 200,000 square feet. As a result, 40 jobs will be added in manufacturing and logistics at The Stow Company, part of the Windquest Group.
The decision is aimed at maximizing manufacturing capacities and leveraging a centralized, national shipping point. The Holland facility manufactures products for all of the company’s brands, each sold through specific dealer, retail or online channels.
"Expanding the capacity of our Holland manufacturing operation allows us to meet growing customer demand and maximize efficiencies while keeping pricing competitive and maintaining market leadership,” said Randy Tallman, executive VP operations for The Stow Company. “Our 200,000-square-foot Holland facility is now readily able to absorb additional volume, and will positively impact our already industry-leading quality and turnaround times.”
Stow says the recruiting and hiring process is already underway, and it expects to complete hiring by the end of the year.
“We’re very pleased to be adding a significant number of new stable, well-paid production and logistics jobs in West Michigan,” Tallman says. Among 12 positions listed at The Stow Company site are: Purchasing Manager, 1st Shift Retail Packer, 1st Shift Shipping Bander/Wrapper, 2nd Shift Production Scheduler, 2nd Shift Shipping Bander/Wrapper, 2nd Shift Machine Operator, 2nd Shift Material Handler, 3rd Shift Plant Supervisor, 3rd Shift Machine Operator, 3rd Shift Material Handler, 3rd Shift Shipping Puller, 3rd Shift Retail Product/Packer
Named to the WOOD 100 in 2011, The Stow Company manufactures custom storage and organization systems for all areas of the home, including closets, garage, pantry, laundry and mudrooms, as well as entertainment centers, and wall-beds.
