NEW HOPE, MN - Scherer Bros. Lumber Co. will combine two Minneapolis warehouse and manufacturing operations into a 110,000-square-foot building in Brooklyn Park, MN. The lumber firm sells cabinetry and custom closets.

Scherer Bros. custom designed storage systems are designed by its four design consultants, with  “Made-to-Fit” melamine cabinetry in 10 stock finish colors as well as custom colors. Manufacturing is done in New Hope, MN. Schulte is the source for wire shelving; storage and organization accessories and components are sourced from Hafele, Northern Contours, Organized Living, Rev-a-Shelf, and Roseburg panel.

Scherer Bros., supplies lumber, cabinetry, windows and doors primarily to custom homebuilders, sells internally designed custom closets, kitchen cabinetery from major manufacturers, and windows, doors, moulding and millwork, some produced internally.

The 240-employee, family-owned company this year has been “extremely busy” and things are going well, COO Mark Scherer told the Minneapolis Business Journal, with revenue up 25-30% this year, though still below its peak in 2005-2006.
