Norcraft Cabinetry Swings from Loss to Profit; Now HiringEAGAN, MN -  Starmark Cabinetry parent Norcraft Companies shared in the housing and remodeling recovery, as second quarter sales rose 19% to $90.2 million.

"Economic and industry growth appears to be getting stronger as the year progresses, and we have begun seeing our margins improve as a result of increased operating leverage and strong product mix," says CEO Mark Buller.

"We continue to closely monitor commodity inflation and promotional activity and adjust our pricing and sales programs accordingly," Buller said in the earnings announcement.

The improvement may also be driving hiring. Norcraft lists full-time production employment openings at three manufacturing sites in Cottonwood, MN, Newton, KS and Lynchburg, VA. Job listings include finishers, top coat sprayer, CNC operator, and box builder and assembly workers. 

Norcraft Companies produces kitchen and bathroom cabinetry for U.S. and Canadian markets, including stock, semi-custom and custom cabinets manufactured in both framed and frameless, or full access construction.Its  seven main brands are Mid Continent Cabinetry, Norcraft Cabinetry, UltraCraft, StarMark Cabinetry, Fieldstone Cabinetry, Brookwood Cabinetry and Urban Effects.
