KAPOLEI, HI - Custom wood interiors form the basis of an expanding chain of cabinetry and closets showrooms launched by wood products manufacturer Art Source, Inc.

Combining Exotic Woodlines custom cabinetry with franchises of California Closets and The Sliding Door, Hawaii's Art Source, Inc. is leveraging its wood picture frame manufacturing business into a network of lifestyle interior centers.

Art Source, Inc. operates a 43,000 square foot picture frame manufacturing facility, sold through its retail chain of Pictures Plus.

Art Source, Inc. has now converted three of its seven Pictures Plus stores into Plus Interiors, a design center mini-mall that includes showrooms for its Exotic Woodlines custom cabinetry, California Closets franchises, The Sliding Door Company retail showroom, along with its Pictures Plus wood picture frames and sandals and gifts retailing.

Owners Kent and Lori Untermann launched Pictures Plus manufacturing operations in Hawaii in 1988. The company now offers home décor, customizable gifts, furniture, custom cabinetry and kitchen designs, closet and storage solutions, and sliding doors and room dividers.

Kent Unterman told Pacific Business News he plans on transforming all Picures Plus locations into the Plus Interior design centers.
