LANHAM, MD -- Closet America was chosen as one of five finalists in the "(Up)fit for Success" contest sponsored by Inc. magazine and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

Contest sponsors, looking for the Sprinter van that best represents its business, invited owners to submit photos and descriptions of how their vans were outfitted to meet their needs: storing products, tools and equipment.

Listed as Finalist #4, Closet America says it purchased its first Sprinter van in 2009. The company chose a custom-built vehicle to ensure that its custom organizing systems would be transported quickly and efficiently from the production facility without damage. Its vans have specially engineered pallets that are rolled into the back of each van on installed gravity rollers, making the load/unload process easier.

Closet America's Sprinters also are outfitted with installed power inverters capable of running power tools. Tilted shelving is attached to the van's bulkhead allowing for secure tool storage.

After the five finalists (see the complete list below) were selected by a panel of judges, voting opened to the public on June 26 and ends July 10. The grand prize winner will be announced on July 28.

Founded in 2007, Closet America has won several industry awards including the Angie’s List Super Service Award, the 500 Top Remodel, Best of Houzz, and the Guild Master Award for exceptional customer service and satisfaction. It has also been listed on Wood Products' WOOD 100 for the past several years and won the People's Choice Runner Up award in the 2014 Closets Top Shelf Design Awards competition.
