Wood Tech Summit Leadership Conference on Tap for October
Ready or Not, Controversial Product Safety Website Goes Live

Wood Tech Summit Leadership Conference on Tap for OctoberI’m excited to announce that the Third Annual Wood Tech Summit Leadership Conference is on tap – literally – for October 9-10 at the Woodworking Centre of Ontario at Conestoga College, Kitchener, ON. This year’s event will dovetail with Kitchener-Waterloo’s world famous Oktoberfest, which is considered the largest annual Bavarian Festival outside of Germany.

Wood Tech Summit is being organized under the auspices of the Woodworking Centre of Ontario at Conestoga College, the Centre for Advanced Wood Processing at the University of British Columbia, the Wood Manufacturing Council, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, Lignum Consulting and Woodworking Network. The conference is further supported by the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association and Bluewater Wood Alliance.

Wood Tech Summit will feature case studies presented by successful North American wood products companies on topics such as lean manufacturing, optimizing raw materials, improving process flow, achieving high-quality green finishes, exporting wood products to new markets and more. A second track of the program will target high school and college level woodworking instructors, guidance counselors and students to highlight career opportunities in the woodworking industry.

The conference also will feature a half day of plant tours. Additional details and advance registration available soon at WoodTechSummit.com.
