VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA-- West Fraser (TSX:WFT)  appointed James Gorman VP, Corporate and Government Relations. He takes on the position May 19, 2015.

Gorman joins West Fraser after having served as president and CEO of the Council of Forest Industries since 2013. Prior to joining COFI, Gorman was in senior leadership roles with the Government of British Columbia.

West Fraser is an integrated wood products company producing lumber, wood chips, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp and newsprint. Its shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol "WFT".
