ST. PAUL, MN - Sales in 3M Industrial operations, which includes adhesives and abrasives used in wood manufacturing, automotive and other industries, rose even higher, 8.6% to $2.7 billion. Sales grew in all businesses served by 3M Industrial, led by aerospace, automotive, advanced materials, liquid filtration, automotive aftermarket and industrial adhesives and tapes.

Sales rose in all major geographies, with double-digit growth in Latin America/Canada. Operating income for the Industrial operations was $568 million operating margin of 21.3 percent. 

3M overall third-quarter revenue rose 7.9% $7.9 billion, a record.
