LYNDEN, WA - Alliance Door Products Canada, Inc. has acquired the assets of Summit Distributors Inc., Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, effective November 5, 2012.

"Summit Distributors is a valuable member of the Alberta door and millwork industry and we will continue down the same path," said Alliance Canada Senior VP John Ridder in a statement announcing he deal. "We believe that our company can contribute in new ways and by taking advantage of the scope we have across the country and the many valued relationships we have in the industry."

Headquartered in Lynden, WA, Alliance Door Products has Canadian distribution branches in Abbotsford, Calgary, Winnipeg and Ontario; and branches in the U.S. in Seattle, Spokane and Portland. Alliance carries Lynden Door, Therma-Tru, Simpson Door and Stallion Door, as well as millwork products from Woodland in Winnipeg.
