RAE Systems’ two third-generation photo-ionization detector-based (PID) instruments have been European ATEX safety certified for use in explosive atmospheres or hazardous environments. The MiniRAE 3000 and ppbRAE 3000 have a wide measurement range, fast response, wireless interface, waterproof design and six-month data memory, the company says.

Designed to keep workers safe under dangerous conditions, these detectors provide real results in under three seconds, support 12 languages and can be used with up to three layers of gloves. The MiniRAE 3000 has an extended measurement range of 0.1 parts per million (ppm) to 15,000 ppm. The ppbRAE 3000 offers a range of 1 part pre billion (ppb) to 10,000 ppm.
