Imperial Systems says for wood production settings its CMAXX Dust & Fume Cartridge Collector has 10% more filter media than other same-sized vertical cartridge collectors. The internal area  offers 20% more area around the filters causing more dust to drop in the hopper before attaching to the filters.

 Advantages to this approach include a space saving, low profile design, with small footprint; a vertical cartridge design for longer filter life; internal air velocities are 20% lower .
