The new X5 15-in. planer with deluxe stand, Model 22-790X, is suitable for planing rough lumber up to 15 in. wide and 6-1/2-in. thick. An extended, foldable feed table reduces snipe while passing wood through the unit, Delta says, while the motor-on-top design saves time by eliminating the need to adjust infeed and outfeed rollers with each cut, resulting in a feed rate of 30 fpm. The unit features a three-knife cutterhead with an adjustable serrated infeed and polyurethane outfeed roller assembly. The 22-790X offers two speeds, one for fast dimensioning and one for smooth finishing.
