The Weber KSF from the Hans Weber Corp. is a two- to three-shift per day machine, available in 53” and 63” widths. The KSF has an easy to use i-Touch control capable of saving up to 255 programs, says the company. It also features a vacuum conveyor; a quick change graphite and sanding lamella; and PLC controlled alignment. Weber’s patented ISA/ISD segmented platen provides uniform pressure distribution, adds the company. The Weber KSF can be equipped with up to eight stations that can be varied as desired. In addition to its cross belt station and the wide belt stations, such as contact roller, combination station and wide belt with sanding pads, Weber’s CBF sanding technology X-Schliff, and the Weber brush technology also can be installed. Additional options include the Weber planetary head for a uniform finish regardless of the direction of the wood fiber or shape of the work piece, says the company. The modular construction of Weber’s machines makes it possible to change sanding stations at a later date, adds Hans Weber.
