Gas-Free Cordless Framing Nailer

DeWalt introduces its gas-free dual-speed, cordless framing nailer, Model DCN692, part of DeWalt’s line of 20V MAX cordless power tools with Extreme Runtime (XR). It provides a gas-free option for users, eliminating the need for gas canisters, says the company.  The DCN692 Cordless Framing Nailer has dual-speed settings optimized for different nail lengths. Speed Setting 1 can be used when driving shorter nails (2”-3”) for lower vibration, increased shots per charge and increased application speed, compared to Speed Setting 2, designed for use when driving longer nails (3 ¼”-3 ½”). The cordless framing nailer features DeWalt’s brushless motor technology with the XR 4.0AH lithium ion battery pack to allow driving up to 700 nails per charge. Applications include heavy duty carpentry and framing.  Users can choose between the bump or sequential fire modes for different fastening applications and can adjust the nail depth. Features include indicator lights that warn the user of a low battery or stall and a stall release lever. The cordless framing nailer will be available as a kit (DCN692M1) including a DeWalt XR 20V MAX 4.0AH lithium ion battery pack, retailing for $499.99, or as a bare tool (DCN692B) retailing for $399.99.
