Thermwood’s Cut Center makes cabinets, closets, and related products without the need for a separate computer, design software or CNC programming, but for users who make special products, the company has a program that allows Thermwood to add additional products. With this new program, definitions for a user’s unique products are custom developed and installed in the Cut Center. Definitions teach a user’s machine to make products in all their variations, all their sizes, from all the materials used. Users can select what is wanted at the machine and can use material of varying thickness and/or adjust product size and features at the machine. The process begins by developing a formal, written description of the products a user wants to make. The description details all aspects of the product and is the guiding document for the development team, says the company. Product definitions are used to create sample products. If the client is happy with the results, Thermwood installs the new definitions into the Cut Center. The work can typically be done online directly to a user’s Cut Center. Changes and additions can be made at any time, with new products added and older versions modified, says Thermwood. Special fixtures and tools are also part of the Special Products package.
