Doellken-Woodtape says its new series of T-edge profiles provides manufacturers of office and other furniture with an alternative to PVC for finishing curved surfaces. The new T3 T-edge profiles are made from a pliable polypropylene-based raw material from Teknor Apex Co. that provides flexibility for application to the curved edges of desks, filing cabinets, and other items, providing uniform coverage even at corners with a 25 mm radius, says the company. The pliable Synres compound provides a degree of flexibility, while retaining sufficient stiffness to ensure the permanent capture of the profile barb in the furniture edge groove while retaining impact resistance, says the company.
