REHAU introduces its Rauvisio high-gloss surfaces line, which features two collections, Rauvisio brilliant high-gloss surfaces and Rauvisio crystal glass-design surfaces. Both surfaces can be fabricated using REHAU LaserEdge technology for a seamless, adhesive-free finish, says the company.  With it furniture designers can create the look of solid surface or high-end lacquered and glass-top finishes at a lower cost, adds REHAU. Rauvisio brilliant high-gloss surfaces have a color-matched acrylic top layer designed to enhance color vibrancy and UV resistance, says the company. The laminate, balancing sheet and edgeband are matched to each other. Rehau says its Rauvisio crystal glass-design surfaces provide the look of real glass in a lightweight, scratch- and impact-resistant polymer that can be cut and drilled during installation. Rauvisio edgebands can be applied using standard edgebanders with traditional adhesive or further processed into REHAU LaserEdge, an adhesive-free, non-PVC laser edging that is applied using a laser or hot air edgebanders for a seam-free board.
