Flakeboard announces its Dura FR Fire-rated Particleboard is now available from Canada. Flakeboard has a full range of fire-rated particleboard and TFL (melamine) panels now available from its St. Stephen, NB facility in Canada. Dura FR is designed for use when building code and public safety specifications call for fire safety compliance, says the company. Dura FR particleboard is a UL approved, Class A/Class 1-rated fire retardant panel with applications for interior non-structural use in restaurants, schools, hospitals, motels, malls, airports, offices and public buildings. Flakeboard says Dura FR offers superior strength and dimensional stability with low linear expansion and thickness swell. It features smooth surface properties for laminating and finishing and is easily machined with low tool wear, adds Flakeboard. Dura FR particleboard is available in thickness from 3/8” – 3/4”.
