Little Fanfare for Lacey Vote Cancellation
One Goal: To Be the Best in Business

Over the past year, we have been bombarded with press conferences, statements and rallies by congressmen, wood industry representatives, retailers and entertainers alike putting in their two cents on the pros and cons of the amending the Lacey Act. The news was covered extensively in the media with a House vote taken in July.

But the vote won’t be taken. And for whatever reason, by accident or design, the no-vote decision slipped by all but a few media outlets.

Woodworking Network was one of the few to inform readers of the news. Unlike perhaps the mainstream media, we understand the importance of the topic, especially to the wood products manufacturers who use imported wood in the production of residential furniture, contract furniture, cabinetry, architectural woodworking, musical instruments/guitars and more. And rest assured, we’ll continue to bring you updates as they happen, to help you stay on top of the situation.
