Woodworking Shops See Uptick in Business
Once Bitten, Twice Shy

While at the Woodworking Tool Expo in Howe, IN, I met with several different woodworking shops. Most of the conversations were about the up and downs in the market.

Although the last few years have been tough many of these exhibiting companies said that business is picking up for them. For instance, Century Components had a 36 percent increase over last year and a building supply company was picking up new product lines as a result seeing a growth in its business.

Mainly, what's happening is that people are looking at new ideas and listening to new things that are happening, but they are also getting out there and looking for new business. So keep up the good work...it's going to get better.

Good hunting,

Rick
