As businesses continue to grow, they are looking to manufacturers to supply them with casegoods and products, providing these manufacturers an opportunity for expansion.

Gilmore Furniture, Grand Rapids, MI

, announced this summer that it is expanding its main manufacturing facility — the 27-year-old company’s fourth expansion in five years.

“Orders for products from our various new and established customers of contract furniture [casegoods, upholstered seating and tables] are steadily rising,” says Robert Clark, spokesperson.

The Gilmore expansion includes adding metal fabrication services along with 15 new employees. Gilmore’s main facility is 68,000 square feet in a modern, one-story industrial plant and office nearby. The planned manufacturing addition is 21,000 square feet plus 2,500 extra square feet for additional office space to manage that growing business.
