Association of Closet and Storage Professionals (ACSP)
The ACSP is a trade association focused on bringing industry members closer together and serving as a unified voice for the industry. Members are companies that sell and install closet and storage systems to end-users as well as suppliers to closet and storage companies. The association recently launched an the industry's first Professional Stoage Certification program.



The Bluewater Wood Alliance Inc. is a not-for-profit company, incorporated in Ontario, with a mandate to further economic growth and the sustainability of the wood products manufacturing industry in South-western Ontario.  The aim is to make that industry more competitive in both national and international markets.  The organization is seen as a wood manufacturing cluster, which can be defined as a geographic concentration of manufacturers, suppliers, and associated institutions serving the wood industry.

Wood Component Manufacturers Association (WCMA)
The WCMA develops standards for the dimension and component manufacturing business in the U.S. and Canada. .The association develops and promotes a general demand for the industry's products and services and serves as a business referral clearinghouse between component buyers and makers.


 Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America (WMMA)
For over 100 years, the Wood Machinery Manufacturers of America has worked to increase the productivity and profitability of U.S. woodworking machinery and woodworking tools manufacturers and the businesses that support them. Over that time, WMMA has dedicated itself to the advancement of the U.S. woodworking industry and wood industry, with wood education training, wood industry research, support of woodworking shows, and diverse member programs and services.


Wood Manufacturing Council (WMC)
The Council's mandate is to plan, develop and implement human resources strategies that support the long-term growth and competitiveness of Canada's advanced wood products manufacturing industry and meet the developmental needs of its workforce. The Council identifies and examines the necessary skills and knowledge required to respond to changing industry needs. The Council also develops an overall strategic plan to address key issues such as the shortage of skilled workers and the need for national standards for worker competencies.



Woodworking ExpoCentre for Advanced Wood Processing, University of British Columbia
The Centre for Advanced Wood Processing is Canada's national centre of excellence for education and research related to wood products processing and advanced wood products manufacturing. CAWP offers a wide range of training courses, continuing education programs and industry services, conducts applied research, and assists industry to employ students to work on special projects by coordinating a cooperative education program.

The Woodworking Centre of Ontario is a 50,000 square foot facility that ranks in the top 4 in the world as a training institution for secondary wood processing education. Students are exposed to both custom and production training as well as the latest in CNC and computerized drafting technology. The school’s Technology and Cabinetmaker Apprenticeship programs have graduated hundreds since 1988.
