Susan Gelwicks Thompson, ASID, owner of The Closet Design, Stuart, FL, advises custom cabinet and closets companies to enter design competitions. After winning Best in Show in the 2012 Closets Magazine Top Shelf Awards, she hired a publicist and built a dedicated website for her awards and subsequent media coverage.

At IWF 2012, she won a Wood Diamond Award from the Cabinet Makers Association.
