TAUBERBISCHOFSCHEIM, GERMANY – Michael Weinig AG, a world leader in solid wood machinery, has reportedly made an offer to purchase Holz-Her Reich Spezialmaschinen GmbH of Nuertingen, Germany.
Weinig’s undisclosed offer was reported by Kleine Zeitung.
Weinig, which manufactures moulders, optimizing systems and other solid wood processing equipment, has its North American headquarters in Mooresville, NC.
Weinig’s purchase of Holz-Her would give it entre into the panel processing machinery market. Holz-Her manufactures edgebanders, horizontal and vertical panel saws and CNC machining centers. The company operates North American offices in Charlotte, NC, and Laval, QUE.
