Adam Magers left his full-time job to pursue his passion for woodworking, and in 2013 he started Timber Furniture KC. "He is a skilled craftsman with a heart to seek how vocation, community, and play are intertwined," is how one friend describes him. Magers served in Iraq in 2008, and after returning to civilian life found his way to woodworking. He was featured in Time magazine in 2014 in an article about how veterans have conquered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD. He is now director of programs at Warriors Ascent.
