William Penn Cabinetry, the cabinet company that started with so much promise and fanfare filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on April 7, and is unlikely to re-open.

The Wood-Metal company has filed for bankruptcy and more than $2 million in bills have not been paid.

The owners of William Penn Cabinetry, Stanley Woodworking and Wood-Metal face new complaints related to insurance fraud after the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office received complaints.

FREEBURG, Pa. – William Penn Cabinetry, the cabinet company that started in 2020 with so much promise and fanfare, is now beset by scandal and financial trouble, eviction notices, and utility shutoffs.

FREEBURG — Production at the William Penn Cabinetry company remains shut down and financial problems appear to have spread to sister company Stanley Woodworking, according to an item in the Daily Item newspaper. 

William Penn Cabinetry owner Maurice Brubaker said the slowdown in the global supply chain and customer non-payment has brought his business to a halt and put 80 employees out of work, according to the Daily Item newsppaper.
