American Home Furnishings HOF ceremony slated for June

HIGH POINT, N.C.— The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation's  Class of 2020 Induction Celebration will take place on June 6, during the Spring High Point Market. The June 6 event will be held at the Sheraton Greensboro Four Seasons. The ceremony, traditionally held during the October High Point Market, was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Home furnishings HOF seeks future leader nominations

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation is seeking nominations for Future Leaders of rising industry stars under the age of 40. The Foundation will select Future Leaders and facilitate vibrant discussions over dinner with inducted Hall of Fame members during the April 2021 High Point Market.

Five industry leaders inducted into American Home Furnishings HOF

HIGH POINT, N.C. -  Five industry leaders will be inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. Joining the current 120 members of the Hall of Fame are Irv Blumkin, CEO, Nebraska Furniture Mart; Robert G. Culp III, co-founder, former chairman and CEO, Culp, Inc.; Robert J. Maricich, chairman and CEO, International Market Centers; Allan H. Palecek, chairman and founder, Palecek; and Todd Wanek, CEO and president, Ashley Furniture Industries, Inc.  The ceremony will take place on Saturday, Oct. 17 during the High Point Market.

More oral histories published by American Home Furnishings HOF

HIGH POINT, N.C.— The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation has published three more oral histories of Hall of Fame inductees Aminy I. Audi, CEO and chairman of L. & J.G. Stickley; John Bray, president of Vanguard Furniture Co.; and the late Bernard Castro, founder of Castro Convertibles. The Hall of Fame has now published 53 hardcover books and completed 66 oral interviews of industry leaders. Thirteen of those oral histories are in the process of being published as books, complete with photography, the organization said.
