Sophia, the world's first humanoid celebrity, will keynote the induction celebration of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. The event takes place Oct. 23, during the Fall High Point Market.
HIGH POINT, N.C. – The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame announced its inaugural class of emerging leaders who will participate in the Home Furnishings Leadership Institute at High Point University, Feb. 20 to 24. The 25 participants from across the industry were selected from a nominated pool of candidates.
Groundbreaking for the 23,500 square-foot facility was held Oct. 15. The permanent American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame building is scheduled to open in April 2023.
The groundbreaking event kicks off the expansion of the center from a 17,500-square-foot building to a 23,500-square-foot hub of innovation, excellence and leadership.
The Future Leaders Award given by the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation will now be named the Paul Broyhill Future Leaders Award, and has been underwritten by a gift from the Broyhill Family Foundation.
Close to $2 million in donations have been provided recently to the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame for its building fund. The grand opening of the permanent Hall of Fame building is targeted for 2023.
Interior designers, entrepreneurs and television personalities Hilary Farr and Brian Patrick Flynn will host the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation Induction Celebration on Oct. 17 during the High Point Market.
