The Wood Components Manufacturers Association says its first-ever tour of European woodworking facilities has been a "huge success," with 14 individuals from 10 member companies attending the week-long March event.

Registration is now open for the Wood Component Manufacturers Association's 2016 European Plant Tour Event. The event will be held March 13-18 and will include visits to woodworking plants near the Frankfurt, Germany area, as well as near Bologna, Italy. The event also provides an opportunity for wood components manufacturers to observe leading-edge solutions to improve their quality and production methods.

A European technology tour is being planned by the Wood Component Manufacturers Association in conjunction with Weinig and Biesse America. The all-inclusive tour to Germany and Italy is scheduled to take place March 13-19.

At its annual fall meeting, the Wood Component Manufacturers Association announced its slate of officers for the new term. The WCMA Fall Conference and Plant Tour Event was held September 20-22 in Sherbrooke, QC.
