Entries for the Annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge are due June 1.

Entrants are in the short rows now to make the June 1 deadline for the Tenth Annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge, the international design competition with cash awards that highlights achievement in the use of natural wood veneer products in the categories of Architectural Woodworking, Cabinetry, Furniture, Specialty Products, Store Fixtures, and Student Design.

Tim Fixmer, Wave Oglesby and Alfred Sharp are the judges for the Tenth Annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge and will decide this woodwork design competition that highlights achievement in the use of natural wood veneer, sponsored by face and sheet veneer supplier Veneer Technologies, Inc. Cash awards, no entry fee; deadline June 1 with results announced at IWF Atlanta, August 20-23, 2014.

The “Boatroom” transformation of a Newport, RI, residence crawlspace into a mahogany masterpiece reminiscent of a classic sailing yacht earned Jutras Woodworking, Greenville, RI, the grand prize and won the Architectural Woodworking category in the eighth annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s ChallengeTM recognizing excellence in veneer woodworking.

Entrants in the eighth annual Veneer Tech Craftsman’s Challenge will be pleased to learn the names of the three seasoned industry panelists who will judge this international design competition that highlights achievement in the use of natural wood veneer products.
