NLBMDA Urges EPA to Allow Online Refresher Training

In response to a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) proposal to modify the refresher training requirements under the Lead: Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) is urging the agency to adopt the proposal to eliminate the requirement that refresher training for a certified renovator have a hands-on component.

WDMA Calls on EPA to Address Concerns About Energy Star V6.0

In response to yesterday's action by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) seeking additional comments on proposed draft ENERGY STAR Version 6.0 criteria for skylights, the Window and Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) is calling on the agency to address additional concerns the industry has about the skylight criteria, the proposed window and door criteria and the overall direction of the ENERGY STAR program.

Toll Brothers to Pay $741,000 Clean Water Act Penalty

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Department of Justice announced that Toll Brothers Inc., one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, will pay a civil penalty of $741,000 to resolve alleged Clean Water Act violations at its construction sites, including sites located in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
